A different kind of physiotherapy consultation

More time. More listening. A more thorough assessment to get you better.

I take the time to understand your story, work out what's actually contributing to your pain or injury, and build a treatment plan around your body, your goals, and the activities you want to get back to: Rather than just treating the sore spot.

What to expect during your appointment:

  • A thorough assessment - Real time to understand your symptoms, history, movement and goals, not a rushed 15-minute check

  • Longer consultations - enough time to properly listen, assess, and explain what's actually going on

  • An individualised plan - Designed around you and your unique body

  • Evidence-informed treatment - Clinical expertise combined with current assessment and treatment techniques

  • World-class digital assessment tools - Measure where you’re at so we can objectively see when you’re improving

  • A clear plan forward - You'll know what you're doing, why, and what's next before you leave

  • Collaborative approach - I work closely with sports doctors and surgeons in the Queenstown Lakes region to help ensure you get the highest level of multi-disciplinary care.

My approach at Physio Caitlin

I believe good physiotherapy starts with listening.

I want to understand not just where it hurts, but what you've been dealing with, what you're trying to get back to, and what's actually contributing to the problem. My consultations are longer so we can properly assess, explain, and build a plan that makes sense for your body and your life, not a generic handout.

Queenstown Physiotherapist with over 15 years of experience, across four countries

I've worked as a physiotherapist across New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Canada, in private practice, and as a guest practitioner in international wellness retreats including Chiva-Som in Thailand and Ananda in the Himalayas.

My blended experience in clinical private practice and world-leading wellness retreats has shaped how I work today: Thorough assessment, whole-person thinking, and a genuine focus on what matters to you, not a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.

Why this matters to you: You're not just booking a treatment slot. You're booking time with a physiotherapist who has assessed thousands of bodies across very different settings.

Physiotherapy for people who want to understand what's going on

I work with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including:

  • Knee, hip and ankle pain

  • Running and sports injuries

  • Skiing and snowboarding injuries

  • Back and neck pain

  • Shoulder and upper-limb problems

  • Persistent or recurring injuries

  • Pregnancy-related and postnatal musculoskeletal pain (including C-section recovery)

  • Movement, strength and mobility issues

  • Children and adolescents with musculoskeletal concerns

Whether it's a new injury, something persistent, or something that keeps coming back no matter what you've tried, the goal is the same: work out what's actually driving the problem, and build a practical path forward.

Who is Physio Caitlin?

A mum of two, I’m passionate about keeping everyone of all ages moving and doing the things they love (yep, even new mums!) My favourite sports include:

  • Snowboarding

  • Horseriding

  • Dancing (I was a championship Irish Dancer can you believe!)

  • Free diving/spearfishing

  • Surfing

  • Strength training and running

After I had an injury and fractured my spine, I luckily made a full recovery but learned I needed to change my physiotherapy practice to be more inclusive of unique recovery aspects. I wanted to provide a more well-rounded service to my patients. So I created Physio Caitlin, and my holistic approach. Since then, I’ve been lucky to be invited as a visiting practitioner at some of the world’s leading wellness retreats in Thailand, India and beyond while also continuing my Physiotherapy practice in New Zealand.
